Taste Difference ?

Postby WVSHINER » Sun Nov 10, 2013 8:24 pm

Guys I posted recently that I had just received my new sieve plated column and as I have zero experience running this type of column I wondering if there will be any difference in the flavor profile of my spirits vs. those of my old pot still.

Might be hard to describe but have a go at it anyway mates. Just don't make me lick the screen on my laptop. :laughing-rolling:

Thank you,WVS.

More redistillations makes for less taste in general. Good control over heads (stacking) and tails (pushing them back) seem to be the key to making a very tasty drop with sieve / bubble cap plates. What I'm told ...

You'll get a lighter, more refined spirit. That dosnt mean you'll be short on flavor, but it will be different.

The best way to tell is to lick your monitor. The higher the proof, the higher the screen resolution needed for accurate flavor representation.
