Plated column water cooler

Postby RealFineShine » Fri Jun 27, 2014 5:46 am

The new plated column has been running well. However I didn't like just running the cooling water down the driveway and a barrel or drum didn't appeal to me so I decided to do something different. I built a water feature which will act as the cooling system for the still when it is in use and when not in use the wife has a water feature to look at.

Interesting! Does it cool the water well enough for a long run?

just sayin.....it is approx 80 gallon tank. I did three runs yesterday and it worked great. The time in between runs while setting up and filling the pots helped. It certainly warmed up but never to the point w here I had to add any fresh cool water to the tank.
