Nice setup! Is the cooler your mashtun?
Did you build the Analog Temp Controller?

Looks good. Would you use the still boiler as the HLT if you had the right controller?

looks good coops.

I started out with a pvc manifold, but after a while it distorted with the heat & didn't sit on the bottom anymore so replaced it with braided SS.

You do know that you can improve your extraction efficiency by 15% if you use a red cooler as a mash tun, right?

A friend of mine put together a pretty good beginners primer on all grain brewing. He uses a stainless steel braided hose instead of a manifold in his tun (me too). The braid comes from flexible sink water lines with the plastic interior removed. There are neater ways to connect the braid and pass through the cooler, but you'll get the idea from here. You'll note he uses a blue cooler. Go figure. Denny's an old hippy from the Left Coast...

Think I am using a pretty similar cooler. Blue = cold right? A red one would only be good for keeping things hot. Like, um, malt or something.

If you put a custom flame paint job on it, it will be smokin' hot! (Just like Alton Brown's Kitchenaid mixer)
