Custom False bottoms for the Mash Tun/fermenter

Postby Jaybird » Fri Oct 26, 2012 6:34 pm

Hay guys I have been building custom stainless false bottoms for the all grain brewers for about 5+ years. my top selling FB is for a 15.5 gallon keg and we have just added a few extra filter/stands to the mix to add that extra bit of support in the mash tun.
I am adding a link to the "how to" page where I have several videos on what I make.
Keep in mind I am not an actor! LOL anyway I custom build a boatload of stuff for the brewers and well you guys are brewers!

As most of you know I have started reading and trying to learn a ton about the distilling world and I see where my false bottoms can be helpful both in the mash tun, for the all grain guys here, but also (unlike beer brewers) I think a false bottom in your fermenters where your fermenting on the grain may very well be a good answer to some of the separation problems some guys have. Now, for the record I have not fermented on grain. In the beer brewing world no grain is in the fermenter. But as I read here, some of you guys ferment with the grain in the fermenter then separate before the boiler. Maybe a false bottom in the fermenter is the ticket, where you can draw off the ferment from under the grain.
Check it out. I am always open for suggestions...

we should get an order together then and split the freight ( thinking out loud )
I get excited when I dilute my spirits to 40% ABV...... It means I get more to drink more often

If you guys want to get together and get several I will see what we can do about shipping out your way....

I'll help in any way I can getting the shipping in order. I do know its spendy to ship over there but we may be able to do a parcel post or UPS or even Fed Ex. Put it together and I will get involved to help if I can

Cheers
